Welcome to Endless Phonics!
Originally, this website was created to hold a Decodable Story Generator. This is what inspired the name. Over the years, however, it has grown to encompass many more literacy resources. In addition to decodable readers and activities, I have begun to write Literacy 101 Guides for parents on variety of topics, including the reading brain, phonics, phonemic awareness, fluency, reading comprehension, and spelling.

500+ Free Decodable Readers
400+ Decodable Chapter Books
These are my favorite entry-level chapter books for older beginning readers. They're easier to tackle, but not babyish. If your kids have fairly strong phonics and PA skills, but are still building up their fluency and reading stamina, this list is for you.
A collection of links to free or nearly free digital decodable books and passages for kiddos still mastering phonics.

Endless Phonics Freebies on TPT
I have a Teachers Pay Teachers "store" with all the decodables, decodable activities, and other literacy materials I've created over the years. The word store is in quotation marks because everything I have on TPT is free.
This is the master list of decodable books I have available on this site. Ranging from 25 to 6,000 words, illustrated in full-color, I've written a variety of early readers for those working on short vowel sounds, and for those working on long vowel sounds. You should be able to find something to suit your K-2 reader!
( MANY OF THESE ARE FREEBIES!! )
Note that my free early readers are currently only available in full color. I have printable decodables at my Teachers Pay Teachers Store.

My kids love playing charades, and I love that they get in a bit more reading practice with these decodable sets we compiled. We currently have several levels of decodable charades card decks available: short vowels with CVC, CVCC, CCVC, and CCVCC words!
Choose our Print, Cut, and Play option (.pdf), or use my digital option for click-and-play Charades Cards on the go!
Inject a little fun and wiggle-time into your phonics practice with my master list of 43 Phonics Games and Activities for K-2 students. In the list of play-based ways to build reading skills, you'll find Kinesthetic, Tactile, Musical, Quiet, Social, and Game-Based phonics activities for your little learners!
If your little readers need quick phonics practice, check out my silly story generators. Choose the level, pick a story theme, and hit the button to see a new, decodable, mini-story each time you click. VoilĂ ! Endless Phonics!
There are no pictures, but they are short, sweet, and silly. Kid tested-and-approved. Mobile friendly for learning on the go. Get ready to giggle!
A chapter book decodables list for older readers who would benefit from decodable, controlled text, but don't want to read "baby books!"
The interest level on these ranges from Kindy, with a focus on Years 2-4, but there are even books that would appeal to high school and adult readers!
This list is frequently updated with all the free decodable readers I find online!
